As
a musician, your demo is your calling
card. It can help you expand your audience,
and it's your ticket to getting noticed
by record labels, so it's important to
get it right.
Contrary to popular belief, demo recording
doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive.
If your songs are great, listeners will
hear it, no matter how much cash you spent
on the recording.
If
you make music that you feel might fit in
here then please send us a copy of your
finest works. We listen to every track that
is sent in and we respond to all demo submissions.
Obviously
the music needs to be electronic in some
way to fit in on this site - but we are
interested in totally weird and wonderful
stuff as well as more traditional styles.

What
to send
Please
send us copies of your best tracks. If
you are making music in several different
styles you might want to send in a separate
3 or 4 tracks for each one.
How
to send it
Our preference is for an email with links
to MP3s that we can then download from
somewhere. Please don't email us MP3s
directly as they will clog up our in box.
If
the track is not up on a web server you
can send it via a file transfer service
such as www.sendthisfile.com. The email
address to send the file message to is
demos at vorbic dot com.
The
next best option is to send us a CDR of
your tracks (either burned as a normal
CD or as a data CD with MP3s on it). Make
sure to mark the CDR clearly with your
band name and include an email address
for us to get in touch with you. Please
